Aaron Nesmith attended Porter-Gaud High School, where he quickly rose through the ranks and made the varsity team in eighth grade.
He led his high school to three Class 3A state championships.
Despite being a four-star recruit and South Carolina’s second-ranked shooting guard, Nesmith did not receive a scholarship from a major NCAA Division I program until his senior year.
Nesmith enrolled at Vanderbilt University in 2018, joining fellow basketball figures Darius Garland and Simisola Shittu.
