Among the final four destinations, Mutombo chose Georgetown, Hoyas, over Stanford, Tennessee, and Georgia. Due to his father’s involvement with the Hoyas, Georgetown was always his favorite. Furthermore, Tennessee was right in the thick of things down the stretch. Patrick Ewing, the new coach at Georgetown, has declared Ryan a top priority recruit for his 2021 class. For the Hoyas, he is the fourth pledge.
He joins guards Tyler Beard and Jordan Riley, as well as forward Jalin Billingsley, on the team. In the year 2021, Ewing is aggressively recruiting two five-star recruits. He appeared in eight NBA All-Star Games and won four Defensive Player of the Year titles during his career. He also has the second-highest number of blocked shots in NBA history.
