Rosie O’Donnell, an Emmy Award-winning television personality, came out as a lesbian in 2002. On February 26, 2004, she married her then-girlfriend, Kelli Carpenter, two years later. Kelli used to work for Nickelodeon as a marketing executive.

Rosie and Kelli also adopted two other children, Chelsea Belle O’Donnell (b: 1997) and Blake Christopher O’Donnell (b: 1998), in addition to Parker (b: 1999). The couple intended to adopt Mia (b: 1997), a foster kid, in 2001, but the state of Florida took the child away from them.
Carpenter later had a daughter, Vivienne Rose O’Donnell, through artificial insemination in 2002. The California Supreme Court invalidated Rosie and Kelli’s marriage in 2004, and Kelli had moved out of their home in 2007. Rosie began dating Michelle Rounds in 2011.

However, in November 2014, the couple divorced, and their divorce was formalized in October 2015.
