Epps was first married to Mechelle Mccain in 2006. The duo first connected in 2001 when they were chasing their big dreams in the entertainment industry and had similar ambitions.
But despite their 11-year-long marriage, differences between them were such that Epps had to file for divorce in January 2016.
The divorce ended with quite a rich settlement where the actor had to pay $25000 every month as spousal support for six and a half years, provided she didn’t get re-married in that span. Not only that, but he also had to bear tuition expenses for his two daughters on top of the monthly child expense of $15000.
The Bold and the Beautiful actress saw this as an opportunity to work on herself and focused on rebuilding her professional career.
