Ylona Garcia’s professional career began in her home country when she successfully auditioned for the position of a roommate for the first portion of the second special season of ABS-reality CBN’s television series ‘Pinoy Big Brother.’
She has easily won over the judges with her singing, acting, and dancing exhibition, thanks to her confidence and forthright words. She then entered the house on the second day of the competition and composed two original songs, ‘Win the Fight’ and ‘Magmahal Muli.’ On August 9, 2015, those tracks were ultimately released on Spotify as part of the Extended Play ‘PBB 737.’ (2015).
Garcia also survived four evictions as a nominated housemate. She was picked as one of the four finalists with 19.84 percent of the public vote. As a result, she left the house soon after returning in the second half of the season with other finalists Franco Rodriguez, Jimboy Martin, and Bailey May. She was also the season’s first runner-up, with Jimboy Martin taking first place. Then she starred as Sophie Mendoza in Pinoy Big Brother’s romantic comedy film ‘Trending: Love’ (2015).
After ‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ she starred as Audrey Oliver in ABS-comedic CBN’s television series ‘On the Wings of Love’ (2015–16). Since 2015, she has also hosted ABS-variety CBN’s show ASAP.
‘My name is Ylona Garcia,’ her debut studio album, was released in 2016 by Star Records. In 2018, she portrayed Tadhana Tabayoyong in ABS-drama CBN’s series ‘Sana Dalawa ang Puso.’
