Carli Miles and Tyler Skaggs were high school sweethearts who shared a passion for baseball and travel. They met at Santa Monica High School, where Carli was a senior and Tyler was a junior. Tyler was already a star pitcher who had been drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in 2009.
They continued their relationship despite the challenges of Tyler’s professional career. Tyler made his MLB debut in 2012 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, and was traded back to the Angels in 2013. He spent six seasons with the Angels, becoming one of their best starters and a beloved teammate.
Carli supported Tyler throughout his journey, traveling with him to different cities and cheering him on from the stands. She also pursued her own career as a luxury travel advisor, working with her mother at Miles2Travel.
Carli and Tyler got engaged in 2017, after Tyler proposed to her on a romantic trip to Bora Bora. They tied the knot on December 31, 2018, in a beautiful ceremony in Malibu, California. They celebrated their wedding with their family, friends, and teammates, and looked forward to starting a new chapter in their lives.
