On the WQS show, Kanoa Igarashi met Teresa Bonvalot, his Portuguese lover. She is beginning to leave her mark as well. Igarashi recently wrapped up his first year on the CT with an outstanding second-place finish at the Billabong Pipe Masters. North of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, in the area of Cascais known for its waves, Teresa Bonvalot was born and raised.
Many analysts predicted that she would transition from the QS to the CT quickly due to her polished, effortless demeanor and excellent technical abilities. Even though she placed in the top 20 in 2018, she hasn’t shown the consistency required to pass muster. Following her third and fifth-place finishes at the most recent World Junior Championships, many experts consider Bonvalot to be Europe’s most promising young athlete. Even though their relationship is still young, the young couple’s future appears promising.
