She was a founding member of the ARIA Award-winning Australian children’s musical ensemble Hi-5 for nine years before leaving in 2006. De Leon, who was born on September 1, 1977, in Manila, and her parents relocated to Australia in 1978. Her two younger sisters, Jennifer and Melanie, were born in Australia.
She is the oldest of three children. De Leon spent the majority of his childhood in Sydney. De Leon initially met Daniel Jones on April 30, 2000, when she was 22 years old. Jones was a member of the Australian musical group Savage Garden at the time.
