The Lynx’s coach’s wife worked as the first assistant women’s soccer coach at St. Bonaventure University from 2001 to 2002. After that, she worked as a sales and marketing intern at Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic/2011 U.S. Senior Open for seven months.
Later in 2005, Detroit Shock hired the partner of Lynx coach as a director of sales and marketing, and she served the team until December 2009. Finally, in 2010, she joined Minnesota Lynx as a business development manager and eventually became a director of business operations in 2012.
After serving Minnesota Lynx for more than a decade, Knox became a vice president of business operations and was eventually promoted to the president of business operations in February 2021.
Above all, Cheryl Reeve’s partner, Carley Knox is very active in promoting equals rights for women, coverage of women’s sports, creating opportunities for young women in sports, and LGBTQ issues. Also, she is the winner of the Lavender Community Pride Award for LGBTQ individuals in 2021.
