The star rugby player, Sulu Fitzpatrick, is the elder sister of Theresa Fitzpatrick. Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick, of Samoan heritage, has represented New Zealand in netball and rugby seven players.
To be precise, the Silver Ferns player is not Theresa’s biological sister. Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick was born in Auckland to Olive and Konelio Tone on 20 August 1992.
However, the 30-year-old athlete grew up with Theresa’s dad and mom. Their mothers are sisters. The Fitzpatrick sister shares a close-knit bond. They help lift and lean on one another in good and hard times.
When Sulu had her twins – Tevita and Theresa – she had a hard time as a solo mom. Theresa lends her hand and sticks by her side.
The Fitzpatrick sisters are also famous for their strong bond in the sports world. For the first time, they played side-by-side with a New Zealand team at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in August 2022.
Both Rosie and Greg followed them to Birmingham for the game. Moreover, in the first week of August, Sulu, the Silber Ferns vice-captain, presented black jerseys to the Black Ferns Sevens.
