Goh Jin Wei achieved remarkable success in the early stages of her career.
At the 2015 World Junior Championships, she emerged victorious in the girls’ singles event, prevailing over her compatriot Lee Ying Ying in the final.
In 2017, she secured a bronze medal in the singles category, reaching the semifinals but losing to Han Yue. Wei also participated in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, where she performed excellently.

She defeated the top-seeded Phittayaporn Chaiwan in the semifinals and won the gold medal by defeating Wang Zhiyi in the final. This victory made her the first badminton player to win the World Junior Championships and the Youth Olympic Games title.
