Wendy Rush began working after completing her higher education in a variety of fields. She spent much of her time in England working as a substitute teacher, according to many sources. She also spent a few years managing accounts for a company called Ladd Associates.
But in 2013, she did join the OceanGate Foundation’s board of directors. The non-profit’s founding principles included reaching out to all seas and engaging in exploration and education. She remained on the board and was given the title of president of the company in 2017.
In June 2021, she also joined OceanGate Inc. as a member of the company’s communications and tracking team. After only six months, Rush was named Communications Director in January 2022. She continues to perform all of her assigned obligations for the two businesses indicated above.
