The internet lacks an official or verified source of Ahmaad Galloway’s net worth before his death. He had a career as an American football player, coach, and teacher in his later years.
Galloway’s football journey was far-reaching. During four years with the Crimson Tide, he made quite a name with 17 rushing touchdowns.
Galloway recorded 1,903 yards from scrimmage, scoring 17 touchdowns in four seasons (38 games) at Alabama from 1999-2002.
Injuries initially curtailed his NFL hopes following his drafting by the Denver Broncos in the 2003 NFL draft. He instead played a pair of seasons in the now-defunct NFL Europe league.
He went on to play for the Scottish Claymores and the San Diego Chargers. In his final season as a pro, he had another stint in Europe, rushing for one touchdown and 516 yards with the Frankfurt Galaxy in 2005.
In addition to being a high school football coach, Galloway also worked as an eighth-grade English teacher.
Ahmaad Galloway Death Has Shocked The Football World And Beyond
Former Alabama RB Ahmaad Galloway was deceased in his St. Louis apartment on Monday, per WVTM13.
Galloway, 42, was taught English to eighth-grade students at Compton-Drew Middle School, where Susan Reid, the school’s principal, said he was found dead during a welfare check.
Reid told WVTM13 that Galloway was responsible and always on time and doubted that something might be wrong that day after he missed a class.
“There was not anything disrupted at his apartment, so we think it could have been a medical issue,” he shared.
The exact cause of his death will not be known until the medical examiners submit their findings.
Reid also said it was a tragedy challenging to move on from. “It will take some time for the students to digest this. The kids here loved Ahmaad so much,” he said.
