Thomas Leon Jackson, 63, of Kennesaw, Georgia, lost his battle with metastatic adenocarcinoma on March 3 at 11:49 p.m., and he passed away to go to Paradise.

On December 20, 1959, Thomas Jackson and Sue Ann Ransdell Jackson brought Thomas, also known as Tom, into the world in Ashland, Kentucky.

The Queer Eye contestant worked for Federal Express for a long time before retiring.

Later, he decided he wasn’t ready to retire entirely and started a new employment driving a dump truck for Taylor Transport in Cartersville, Georgia.

In addition, Jackson takes great pleasure in being a grandfather to his two grandkids, who were his source of strength and pride.

Being highlighted on the Netflix series “Queer Eye” was a high point of his life. He relished his celebrity and opened up to everyone who would listen about his adventures!

In addition to a plethora of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces, Tom Jackson is survived by his daughter Katie (R.J.) Phelps, two adored grandsons, Watson and Chandler Phelps, sisters, Jackie Lynn Childers and Kozetta (Jeff) Stewart.

The entire nursing staff at Kennestone Hospital, Drs. Klass (Oncology) and Kevin Smith (Palliative Care), the Respiratory Care Team, the Trauma Team, and everyone else at the specific hospital who assisted in Tom’s care and offered consolation in his final days were also thanked by his family.

At On the Border in Kennesaw, Georgia, on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., the family will host a celebration of life.
