The official website for The Archers states that Jennifer Aldridge was born on January 7, 1945. She was a homemaker who was married to Brian Aldridge, thus that was her line of work.
Jennifer was the child of Peggy Woolley and Jack Archer, who was portrayed by June Spencer and Denis Falwell, respectively. She also gave birth to the fictional children Adam Macy, Debbie, Kate Aldridge, and Alice Carter.
The character has featured in some of the most well-known and divisive episodes of the show, generally in storylines about her marriage to Brian Aldridge (played by Charles Collingwood) or her family.
Adam, Jennifer’s first kid, was a result of an illicit pregnancy with a local cowboy named Paddy Redmond. She then left Ambridge but returned shortly after.
The character welcomed Debbie into the family after being married to her sister’s ex-boyfriend Roger Travers. But when Jennifer met affluent landowner Brian Aldridge at a dinner party, her marriage to Roger started to fall apart.
