Tessa Virtue was born on May 17, 1989, in London, Ontario, Canada. She is the youngest of Kate and Jim Virtue’s four children. Jordan Virtue, Kevin Virtue, and Casey Virtue are her three siblings. Virtue attended Holy Names High School in Windsor, Ontario, and AMDEC, a Stratford, Ontario-based electronic learning facility. She graduated from the University of Windsor with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2007 and a Doctor of Laws (LLD) from the University of Western Ontario in 2019. She also plans to graduate with an MBA from Queen’s University in 2020.
