Sterling Clay Shepard was born in Oklahoma on February 10th, 1993. Shepard played high school football at Heritage Hall School in Oklahoma City, where he rushed for 1,115 yards and caught 133 passes for 2,335 yards and 38 touchdowns.
Shepard finished basketball and track at Heritage. With a jump of 6.69 meters, he finished second in the long jump at the State Meet in 2011.
