Simon and Melanie Raiwalui are the proud parents of three children. Jacob, their eldest son, was born in Australia in June 1997, just before Simon embarked on his rugby adventure in Europe. Simon’s family eventually came to join him. Similarly, their youngest child, the identity of whom has not been revealed, was born in Gwent, Wales, where Simon was active in the rugby scene.
Simon and Melanie’s daughter Layla was born in London. Simon’s social media posts demonstrate a solid father-daughter relationship. Simon, for example, fondly remembered Layla’s day working with the water police. Even though she didn’t get to hijack the boat or be given a taser or gun, he underlined Layla’s enthusiasm for the event. “That’s my girl!” Simon exclaimed triumphantly.
