Carrillo comes from a well-established family. Although Sergio Carrallo’s parents, Elizabeth and Anthony, are former managing directors of the high-end fashion company Jaeger, Sergio’s grandfather founded ESIC, Barcelona’s prestigious private business school.
Sergio was living in his native Spain, playing at the highest level for the Real Madrid club when he realized his soccer career was coming to an end. As a result, he relocated to California to study digital marketing. (His father had been living in California, employed in the tech industry, and Sergio had previously spent a significant amount of time there, learning English.)
