Taylor-Compton made appearances in TV shows such “Ally McBeal,” “Frasier,” “The Guardian,” “The Division,” and “Gilmore Girls” between 1998 and 2001. She also made appearances in commercials for Disney Cruise Line and Fuji Film at this time. Early in her career, Taylor-Compton had a few brief appearances in theatrical productions.
She began her career at “The Grove Theatre” in the title role of “Annie Warbucks,” and then performed in “Footloose” at the “Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.” Between 2001 and 2005, Taylor-Compton made significant contributions as a voice actor. She provided the voice for the films “I Am Sam” (2001), “The Core” (2003), “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” (2004), and “Sky High” (2005).
Scout Taylor-Compton sang the song “Jet Set,” the soundtrack for the movie “Chicken Night,” in 2001. She also made brief appearances in the music videos for “Black Suits Comin” from “Men in Black II” and “Sweet Valentine” from “Born the Sky. Between 2004 and 2007, Taylor-Compton made numerous film and television appearances.
It was during this time that she first encountered the genre of “horror”. The teen comedy “Sleepover” was her first significant work, but it was shortly followed by “Wicked Little Things,” “An American Crime,” and the well-known remake of the 1978 horror movie “Halloween.” Taylor-Compton persisted in producing horror movies.
Two of her significant triumphs were ‘April Fool’s Day’ (2008) and ‘Life Blood’ (2009), even though she only appeared in the latter. In 2010, Taylor-Compton participated in the American dramas “Love Ranch” and “The Runaways” because she was keen to explore new things. Taylor-Compton has recently been in series including “Nashville” (2015) and “Grey’s Anatomy” (2012).
