After growing up on his parent’s dairy farm, Sara’s husband Matter attended Vancouver Film School. In 2007, he made his acting debut in the lead part of Trent Hamilton in The Best Years. The aspiring performer portrayed USAF airman Lieutenant Kemp in the Syfy TV series Stargate Atlantis a year later.
Niall rose to fame in his early years as an actor, first with Eureka on the Sci-Fi Channel. In addition, he has TV credits for Primeval: New World, Warehouse 13, 90210, Loch Ness Terror, and more.
The actor made appearances in three television shows in 2014: Motive, Constantine, and Arctic Air. In a similar vein, Matter enjoyed success in 2017 and 2018, participating in roughly 12 projects during that time. His most well-known performances were in Engaging Father Christmas, The Good Doctor, and other films.
In addition, Niall has a few film credits. In 2008, he made his feature film debut in the comedy Dr. Dolittle Tail to the Chief. The actor portrayed Dr. Clay Castleberry, a surgeon, in the 2016 Hallmark Channel original film Stop the Wedding. Among his other Hallmark roles are those in When Calls the Heart, Finding Father Christmas, and Love at First Dance.
