On April 13, 1950, in Manhattan’s Washington Heights, Ronald N. Perlman was born. His family is Jewish and originated in Poland and Hungary.
Dorothy (Rosen), Ron’s mother, used to work for the City Clerk’s office. A musician and a mechanic, Bertram “Bert” Perlman, his late father, was both.
Jewelry designer Opal and Perlman were hitched on February 14, 1981. They divorced in May 2019 after Perlman filed for separation.
Ron and Opal have two children together: Blake, a girl, and Brandon Avery Perlman, a boy.
Brandon is a Los Angeles-based DJ, record producer, and musician. Delroy Edwards is his stage name, which is how most people know him.
Perlman said that he had been a Democrat all of his life in November 2016. He has also been open about his dislike of former US President Donald Trump.
Perlman also announced on Facebook in 2016 that he would be vying for the presidency of the United States in the 2020 election. He contributed to Kamala Harris’ campaign in January 2019.
