Ned Dubofsky’s demise is thought to have been caused by the Wednesday deadly car accident at Hempstead Bay off of North Hempstead Bar Beach in Port Washington.
It’s uncertain, though, if Ned Dubofsky was one of the victims who perished in that incident. It is unknown who the victim was and why he drove the SUV into the lake.
Given that there is a boat ramp, it was unusually deep there, according to Jennifer DeSena, the North Hempstead Town Supervisor.
She went on to explain that it was a very terrible turn of events to be there on such a beautiful day, watching all these amazing first responders, yet prepared for a catastrophe.
