The Bears defensive end had a disastrous year in 2021. The football player lost both his mother and brother in the same year. Sweat had to deal with the most heartbreaking loss of his life after his mother passed away from a brain aneurysm. Regretfully, his brother Anthony was murdered in an apartment building three days after Christmas six months later.
Even though his mother’s passing affected him deeply, he used football as a coping mechanism. But he was devastated by his elder brother’s passing. Some claim that Anthony instilled in him a passion for football. In addition, he was a huge football lover as a child.
Sweat turned to religion under such difficult circumstances, as did his sister Yvetta. Like their mother, Sweat turned to the Bible for solace after learning of his brother’s murder. Although Sweat found solace in the Bible, it was unable to ease his pain at losing a sibling. Still, he never gave up on finding inspiration in his mortality.
Thankfully, having his child provided him a reason to start over. According to his sister, he would frequently smile when holding his child. Yvetta also observed alterations in her brother’s disposition. Shiloh, there was a new meaning to your sweat.
