Melissa Canaday, as previously stated, is a married lady as of 2019. She married her long-term boyfriend turned husband, Edward James Hyland. Edward, her husband, is also a well-known actor, well known for his roles in Bridge of Spies, The Happening, and Cafe Society.
However, the couple has not revealed how or when they initially met. The pair has been married for over two and a half decades and is still together, with no rumors of divorce or separation.
The couple is the proud parents of two children, a daughter, and a son. Sarah Jane Hyland, their daughter, was born on November 24, 1990. She began performing when she was just seven years old. She is well-known for her roles in Geek Charming (2011), Scary Movie 5 (2013), Vampire Academy (2014), and Dirty Dancing (2017).
Similarly, they received their second kid, a son named Ian Hyland, who is likewise attempting to break into the film profession. The family of four is currently enjoying a happy life in New York, United States.
Canaday has a Breast Cancer
Melissa Canaday was 47 when she discovered a malignant tumor in her breast. Even after several treatments and check-ups, Canaday was forced to seek therapy after discovering a firm lump in her breast. Melissa’s family and children have always been supportive in any scenario.
Despite being diagnosed with breast cancer, Canaday preferred to live a tranquil life. She once admitted in an interview:
“I’ve told people this and they think I’m crazy, but breast cancer was probably one of the nicest things that could have happened to me.” And I realize that sounds strange and bizarre. But it brought me back to myself, and I now live every day for myself.”
Melissa was completely cured of her condition after taking Herceptin for a year. She stated after becoming cancer-free:
“Now I grieve for my friends who are getting it, and I cry for my friends who have had it and are experiencing a recurrence.”
Melissa currently runs various projects and raises donations for cancer patients. She has now received over $75,000 in donations from individuals. We applaud her commitment to helping others.
