Appearances in films and reality shows

Masika Kalysha first appeared in the music video for Field Mob’s “So What” in 2005. Masika worked as an actress for the first time the following year in the film “Three Can Play That Game.”

In 2013, the actress appeared on the reality television show “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.” Masika, on the other hand, was absent from the second season but returned for the third, which revealed the birth of her daughter, Khari Barbie Maxwell.

Masika began filming for the action film “The Prey” in 2014, alongside Kevin Grevioux, Danny Trejo, and Nick Chinlund. As of May 2020, the same film had become a box office success, contributing to Masika Kalysha’s celebrity.

In 2017, she returned to work for the fourth season of “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.” This occurred amid pressure from the show’s producers, ostensibly as a result of her refusal to work with a new actor.

The season featured Masika repeatedly breaking the fourth wall to express her displeasure with producers, as well as threatening legal action and storming offset. In 2018, she made the decision to return to “Love and Hip Hop.”

Masika Kalshya, on the other hand, left the TV show after the season’s get-together special because she was unhappy with her role. She also left VH1 and later appeared on “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.”

Careers in music and business

In 2015, the American actress released her single “Andale,” which she co-wrote with Fetty Wap. The same song has been changed from her previous two singles, “No More” and “Hella Hollywood.” Both singles were released in the early spring of 2015.

Masika Kalysha’s single “Hella Hollywood” was released in May 2015, sampling “Fugees” from the 1996 hit record, “Ready or Not.” Kalysha then released her second single, “My Own,” in the fall of 2016.

Masika Kalysha’s relationship with rapper Fetty Wap was the focus of the song. Masika released his second single, “OHHH3X,” in the fall of 2017. On December 17, 2016, she launched “Khari Barbie Beauty,” a gluten-free, vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free cosmetics line.

Furthermore, her daughter, Khari Barbie Maxwell, inspired the name of her cosmetics line. Her cosmetic line has expanded to include lip scrub, lipstick tubes, lip pencils, and hair growth supplements.
