Bill worked as an intern for WBZ-TV and wrote for a number of local publications during his time at Boston University, and he has a long list of accomplishments to his credit.
One of his first jobs was as a reporter and news anchor at WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pennsylvania. After that, he bounced from station to station before landing a job as a correspondent at CBS News. He covered the battles in El Salvador, among other things, before leaving CBS News over a dispute that featured Bob Schieffer’s unacknowledged use of Bill’s own film from the Falklands War, which he and his crew shot in Buenos Aires. From 1986 until 1989, he worked as an ABC News correspondent before joining the syndicated show “Inside Edition.” He covered the fall of the Berlin Wall and the 1992 Los Angeles Riots during his stint on the show.
Bill joined Fox News when it was still a startup in 1996 and helped grow it up to where it is now; he began as the host of the “Bill O’Reilly Report,” which was then renamed to “Bill O’Reilly Factor.”
