Along the course of her career, Liz Harrington has held positions with the Republican National Committee (RNC) and in conservative journalism.
Harrington was the editor-in-chief of War Room, a well-known far-right website and podcast launched by former Trump strategist Steve Bannon, before joining the former president Donald Trump as his spokeswoman.
During her tenure at War Room, the website gained a reputation for spreading hoaxes like the supposed rigging of the 2020 presidential election, vaccine skepticism, and the COVID-19 lab leak theory.
Although the show’s YouTube channel was taken down for posting erroneous information regarding the election, it regularly held the #1 spot on the Apple podcast charts.
Harrington moved on to work for the Republican National Committee after her time at War Room. Kayleigh McEnany, who took on the position of White House press secretary under the Trump administration, was replaced in the spokeswoman position by her.
