Relationship With Bristol Palin
Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin first met and began dating at Wasilla High School. Their bond grew so strong that when he handed her a promise ring, it went missing during a caribou hunt. Bristol’s name was tattooed on Johnston’s finger. Senator John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running partner in the 2008 US presidential election.
During this time, she revealed that her daughter, Bristol, was pregnant with Johnston’s kid and that they were engaged and planning a wedding. Rumours circulated that Johnston had been coerced into the marriage, which he rejected. Meanwhile, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, their child, was born in December 2008.
The pair ended their engagement in March 2009. Two months later, they stated that their relationship was back on track and that they would raise their child together. Bristol eventually filed a petition for the child’s sole custody and child support.
The pair reconciled in July 2010 and became engaged for the second time. However, they ended their relationship three weeks later. Following their divorce, Johnston leveled various allegations and charges against the Bristol family. For a period, the two families traded accusations and counter-accusations, resulting in hostility.
