Lee Jong-suk’s parents are Lui and Lee Han-kyu. Lee is the eldest child, with a brother two years younger than him and a little sister almost five years younger than him.
In an interview with Estar Entertainment, he said that he finds his younger siblings more mature than him since he is more dependent on his mother.
Jong-suk was very shy as a kid, making his mom still shocked that he grew up to become an Actor. She could not leave him alone, as he would cry hysterically when she was not around.
His Father was very strict with him as a child, and he had to learn taekwondo, among other skills, where he attained a black belt.

Lee Jong-Suk moved out of his parent’s home and lived independently in Seoul during high school after entering a performing arts school.
He majored in Professional Motion Pictures and Art at Konkuk University, graduating in February 2016.
He also received the “KU Honorary Ambassador” award. According to the University, Jong-Suk attended the entrance ceremony every year and addressed the incoming first-year students, offering encouragement.
Jong-suk began his modeling career at the Seoul Collection walkway aged 15, making him the youngest male model to debut in the program at Seoul Fashion Week.
He made his official acting debut in 2010 in the TV series Prosecutor Princess. Likewise, he made his big-screen debut in the horror movie Ghost.
Jong-suk is best friends with fellow model-actor and his School 2013 co-star Kim Woo-bin. The two have known each other since their early modeling days.
His other good friends include Yoon Kyun Sang, Park Shin Hye, and Lee Sung Kyung. He is also on excellent terms with Lee Bo Young.
A car accident ruptured his ACL when he was 16, making him unfit for service as an active-duty soldier. Hence, Jong-suk served as a social worker in the military.
