Let’s look at some of the things we can learn from Krysten Ritter now that you are fully aware of her net worth and the path to her success:
1. Make It R Rated, But Not Totally Over the Top
Punisher and Daredevil occasionally felt gratuitously brutal, while Jessica Jones had just the appropriate amount of savage realism. Of course, Scarlet Witch wouldn’t be kicking someone in the face, but perhaps Winter Soldier would show Jessica Jones how to use violence when it was most effective.
2. Friendship Is Magic
One of the things that made the show so amazing was Jessica and Trish’s friendship, which is similar to Carol and Maria’s in Captain Marvel. Trish was vivacious, wealthy, and well-known—all things Jessica was not. Their relationship was tense, and their friendship was constantly broken, which contributed to Seasons 2 and 3’s less-than-impressive qualities.
3. Include Other Super-powered Folks
Before his show ever premiered, Luke Cage’s entrance in Jessica Jones Season 1 helped win over fans.
It saddened the latter seasons that he wasn’t included, save for a brief cameo, as he and Jessica were clearly a fine combination, thanks in large part to the fantastic chemistry between Colter and Ritter.
The presence of such a well-known figure as Luke Cage in the ensemble cast significantly increased the show’s comic book appeal.
This is a freaking comic book universe, after all! Give us powerful supervillains that represent a threat rather than just humans in superhuman armor or weaponry.
