Wilder is a retired American professional boxer. He is best known for his punching power and knockout ability, having won 41 of his 44 professional fights by way of knockout.
Wilder had a late start to his boxing career, having only taken up the sport at 20. However, Wilder made a name for himself as an amateur, winning a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
Wilder’s most famous fight came against Tyson Fury in December 2018, in a highly anticipated matchup between two well-known heavyweights worldwide.
The fight ended in a controversial draw, with many fans and analysts believing Fury had done enough to win.
In October 2021, Wilder announced his retirement from boxing, having amassed a record of 42 wins, one loss, and one draw, with 41 of his wins coming from knockout.
