Her loved ones described Lapointe as a kind, generous, and compassionate person who always had a smile on her face.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
She also loved music, dancing, and traveling.
The victim positively impacted everyone she met and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Lapointe’s family and friends have set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral expenses and support her cat and mother.
They have also asked for privacy and respect during this difficult time.
The RCMP is still investigating the circumstances of Lapointe’s death and is asking anyone who may have information or footage related to the incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
