In the 1960s, Santar Rosa began his career as an actor and writer. In 1970, he founded El Show de Las 12. Santar Rojas was the show’s principal writer, producer, director, and star for the entirety of its 26-year existence. The program included a large number of endearing puppets, as well as well-known Puerto Rican performers and singers and local celebrities.
Additionally, Kobbo Santa Rosa has worked on other television shows. He devised and wrote for the sketch comedy Una Nocturna Excepción (A Nightly Exception), wrote for the crime drama Colmillo Blanco, and produced the situation comedy Estoy Bien Bueno (I’m So Good). Additionally, he penned the scripts for the biographical television movie Wild Heart.
In addition to his work on television, Santar rosa is a prominent figure in Puerto Rican civil society. As the founder of the Afro-Borincano Society, a nonpartisan group devoted to promoting and creating means to educate people on the little-known Afro-Borincano (Black Puerto Rican) history, he specifically works for rapprochement and education of the island’s political history. In 2008, Santar rano was admitted into the Hall of Fame of the Puerto Rican Pedagogical Institute.
