Of all the other roles Kin played, the actor garnered fame for appearing on General Hospital as Scott Baldwin. Kin was cast as Scott Baldwin for the first time on General Hospital, in 1977. However, he left the program severally for short periods of time to play different roles in other soap operas.
Despite that, Kin continues to appear as a regular cast member of General Hospital. The actor has appeared on the same scripted tv program for six consecutive decades in the same role. This has given Kin the distinction of being one of only a few actors to appear for the same role on the same program for the longest period of time.
