Breaking down the facts behind Kidd Creole—uncover what experts are saying.

According to allegations, Kidd Creole stabbed a man shortly before midnight on August 1, 2017, in New York. John Jolly was the man who was stabbed to death. Prosecutors accused the rapper of stabbing homeless man John Jolly, 55, after becoming enraged because he felt he was hitting on him. A steak knife was used to stab John Jolly twice in the chest. Glover’s lawyers stated that he acted in self-defense.

“They paint me as the villain when I was simply strolling down the street minding my own business,” Glover explained. “I had no intention when I left my residence that night to do anything damaging to anyone, for whatever purpose,” he continued.

On April 6, 2022, a New York Supreme Court jury convicted Creole guilty of first-degree manslaughter. Creole’s sentencing is scheduled for May 4.
