Following the accident of Kento Momota in January 2020, he suffered some injuries which forced him to be out of court for a year.

Reportedly, Momota suffered facial injuries in the accident, including skin lacerations and bone fractures.

Initially believing he’d be out for two months, Kento later learned that he would require surgery for an eye socket fracture in February of the same year.

His hopes of a comeback at the March’s All England Open in Birmingham were dashed by an eye socket fracture that left him with double vision. Furthermore, Kento was worried about how long it would take him to recover. Meanwhile, he came back to training at the beginning of February.

After successful surgery, Momota came back to action and also talked about his experience. Momota said he was thrilled that his vision is good as ever. So, he came back to training with his club (NTT East).
