Kowal’s professional acting career began in 2016 when she made her on-screen debut in “Bittersweet Sixteen,” the second episode of the third season of the television crime documentary series “Web of Lies.” Later that year, Kamilla’s acting career took off when she was cast in the recurring role of Bonnie McMurray in the Canadian television sitcom “Letterkenny.”
What began as a YouTube web series – the story following the daily commutes of people living in an eponymous small and rural Canadian community – quickly grew to a genuine television series and one of Canada’s top rated TV shows, having been honored with several Canadian Screen Awards for Best Comedy Series, among other categories.
Kamilla has now reprised her role in almost 20 episodes of the show’s current seven-season run, including nearly a half-dozen specials.
Kowal rose to attention in 2018 when she played Emily in Carly Stone’s critically acclaimed romantic comedy-drama film “The New Romantic,” in which she co-starred with Jessica Barden and Hayden Law.
Kamilla’s most recent professional on-screen acting credits include a brief appearance in the 2019 thriller film “American Hangman,” starring Donald Sutherland, as well as appearances in two 2019 Canadian TV movies – the drama thriller film “Secrets in a Small Town” and the romantic film “Winter Love Story.”
