Armstrong was captured and taken to a hospital and is now in the sheriff’s office custody. Her trial is scheduled for October 30, 2023.
The motive for the murder is still unclear. Still, some reports suggest it may have been related to a love triangle involving Armstrong’s boyfriend, Colin Strickland, a professional cyclist.
Strickland has admitted that he had a brief relationship with Wilson but said they were only friends afterward.
Wilson’s family has disputed this claim, saying she was not in a romantic relationship with anyone at her death.
