Joe Woods was born on June 25, 1970, to parents Joseph and Sharon Woods. He has a younger brother named Marcus and a sister named Melissa.
About a month after Marcus obtained his high school diploma from Kiski Area, Woods’ mother, Sharon, passed away. His father, Joseph, had passed away around five years before.
Along with their two aunts and the sisters of their mother, the Woods siblings resided in Northeast Ohio. Aunt Daisy settled in Cleveland, and Aunt Judy, who has since passed away, did the same in Euclid. Great-aunt Sarah Rigby lived in Akron and died two years ago.
There are no images of Joe Woods and his family anywhere on the internet.
Marcus Woods, a member of the NFL, said that he looks up to his brother as a parent.
Marcus asserted that, as a dad, he looked up to his brother. Woods encouraged his younger brother to follow in his footsteps by cheering for the Steelers.
“Some people, you can tell they’re destined for something, and Joe was just destined to be a football player and a football coach,” the defensive coordinator’s brother said. Since he was roughly 9 years old, he has played football. Football is all he does for a living.
After one season, Woods’ teaching career took him to Hofstra, while his brother stayed at Kent State until he went to Akron seven or eight years ago.
Marcus Woods, a manager at the Olive Garden in Parma, predicted that a meeting of relatives from Northeast Ohio, mostly cousins, would draw at least 75 attendees.
