The 2008 presidential election activist known as “Joe the Plumber,” a conservative, passed away at the age of 49 from pancreatic cancer.
Conservatives remember Joe the Plumber, whose real name is Samuel Joe Wurzelbacher, for questioning Barack Obama on his tax plan and whether or not he would face higher taxes under an Obama administration.
On Sunday, Conservative radio personality Derek Hunter shared the news of his passing on X, formerly known as Twitter.
An online fundraising page for Wurzelbacher’s cancer treatment was established on GiveSendGo, and it was updated on Sunday to reflect Wurzelbacher’s passing.
Wurzelbacher wanted his family to be “surrounded by family,” therefore, one of his goals before his death was to relocate the family to his wife’s homeland, which they achieved last week.
