The future screen star was born in Minnesota, her father was a professional hockey player, and her younger brother Charlie also played hockey in a college team. Thank such an environment, the girl has been involved in sports activities from an early age.

She started education at Edina High School, where she was a captain of the school hockey team. After graduation, she entered Boston University at the faculty of Journalism. At the university, she continued to practice in such sports as hockey, tennis, and lacrosse. Taft also achieved great results in soccer; she showed excellent achievements as a soccer player in Terriers soccer team in 2008-2009.
The broadcasting career of this beautiful journalist began in 2011 when she started to work with Fox Sports. She began as Fox Sports North sideline reporter at Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA, and her task was to play a role of "Fox Sports Girl."
In 2013 she joined FS1's news as a track reporter at Supercross event and U.S. women's national soccer team reporter at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. In 2014 she started to work as a college football reporter.
In 2017 her role in FS1 news expanded considerably, and she worked with other reports at NFL, MLB, and the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. After a year she became a host and moderator of various FS1 programs. Now she is continuing to work as FOX reporter and moderator, and her sports programs are extremely popular.
