She is a native of Minneapolis, Minne., in the USA. Jan was raised by an elapsed Evangelical mother and an Orthodox Jewish father. At the age of 11 years old, Jan got an invite from her Christian neighbor to a Baptist Church to hear the famous Messianic evangelist named Hyman Appleman (1902–1983).
Since then, Jan was convicted and so was her mother after she shared the message with her. Therefore, as a teenager, Jan began to learn God’s Prophetic Word. Unfortunately, her mother died of cancer in 1987 while her father became a believer in Yeshua in his waning years. Furthermore, she describes herself as a Bible-believing Christian who was raised in a family of Jewish descent.
