Jack Teixeira is a white Christian, according to The Times of Israel. Before firing on a target, National Guard airman Jack Teixeira allegedly videotaped himself hurling antisemitic and racist epithets. Teixeira was detained on suspicion of disclosing a sizable cache of US espionage secrets.
The Washington Post claims that members of the chat group where Teixeira reportedly supplied crucial information were shown the footage of his antisemitic outburst. Teixeira, who was allegedly the organization’s administrator, was apprehended by the FBI on Thursday at his Massachusetts home.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, a powerful Georgian Republican congressman who has received criticism from Jewish groups for remarks deemed inappropriate and antisemitic, has supported Teixeira. She wrote on Twitter that Teixeira is a white man who is a Christian and opposed to war. He is a critic of the Biden administration as a result.
