Former Australian rules football player Daniel Alan Kerr represented the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Kerr was selected by West Coast with the 18th pick in the 200 national draft. Kerr was born and reared in Perth, Western Australia.
Daniel went to Aquinas College in Perth, where he met Quinten Lynch, an aspiring AFL player who would later become a teammate.
He participated in the East Fremantle Football Club’s zone as a youth, but after being drafted, he decided not to play at the senior WAFL level.
Kerr, along with his teammates Ben Cousins and Chris Judd, was regarded as one of the top midfielders for the West Coast.
Despite being shorter than the majority of the footballers on his team, he was renowned for his strength and tackling skills.
Daniel was a hard-running inside midfielder who played 220 appearances for the team between 2001 and 2013.
The Coast Eagles’ star eventually left AFL football at the end of 2013 after suffering numerous injuries later in his career.
Throughout and after his professional career, Daniel Kerr has received convictions for a number of offenses. He is alleged to have started a fire in his parent’s house.
