Ian Ziering’s father, Paul M. Ziering, made a lasting impression in the fields of music and education.
Paul was not just an exceptional instructor, but also a saxophone and orchestra leader.
He spent a significant portion of his life teaching music at Webster Junior High School, where his love of teaching and music came together.
Moreover, Paul demonstrated his dedication to kids’ overall development by entering the field of guidance counseling at Vailsburg High School in addition to his work as a music educator.
However, he passed away in July 2008, at the age of 87.
Ian’s mother Muriel Zierings was the homemaker who ensured her family members were always happy and healthy.
While not much is known about her in the public world, she was a great wife and loving mother of three boys.
Her impact on the family was undoubtedly important, even though it is less known.
