Peso Pluma was born in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. His father’s family is of Lebanese ancestry, while his mother is from the state of Sinaloa.
Before collaborating on songs with his cousin Roberto “Tito” Laija, he played the guitar as a teenager. Disco en Vivo, Peso Pluma’s debut live CD, was released in February 2020.
As a kid, Peso Pluma was exposed to a variety of music. Pesos, particularly hip-hop and rap music, which he listened to songs on the radio and online.
Peso Pluma began creating and recording his songs in his studio as he grew up.
His original reggaeton and trap music mix has earned him notoriety. The artist’s social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube – where he shares his music and personal updates – have a sizable fan following.
