Sam Altman was fired from the well-known company OpenAI on November 17, 2023, and after that, people began asking questions related to his next move.
Initially, none of the media sources gave the information about this matter.
As said earlier, Altman was trying to return to OpenAI as its CEO.
On November 20, 2023, it was revealed that Microsoft hired Altman to lead a new advanced AI research team.
After Sam was fired, OpenAI’s co-founder, Greg Brockman, also left his role and later joined the team of Microsoft. Not to mention, Microsoft is OpenAI’s biggest stakeholder.
So, when Sam and Brockman joined the company, it was their biggest win. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced that Altman will be the CEO of the new group.
