Erik Salitan was born and raised in a little village near the Quebec Order in New York United. In his neighborhood, there were few job opportunities. He didn’t want to work as a logger in a factory because he disliked it.
As a result, he dropped out of school in the 12th grade. At the time, he was a student at Finger Lakes Community College. Erik went on to the University of Alaska Fairbanks to pursue an applied science degree.
After arriving in Alaska’s freezing zone at a young age, he spent nearly two years in a simple tent with no floor. To support his lifestyle, he engaged in fly fishing and hunting in the summer and fur trapping in the winter.
