Holly Williams was born on March 12, 1981, in Cullman, Alabama, to Hank Williams Jr., a musician, and his wife, a singer-songwriter. Her childhood was fairly pleasant, especially considering that her parents were well-known artists. Besides that, she is the granddaughter of Hank Williams Sr., and the niece of Jett Williams, among other relatives. Furthermore, she is the half-sister of Hank Williams III, who is also a musician. Her mother, Becky Williams, is also a native of Mer Rouge, Louisiana, and was formerly married to Hank Williams Jr. for ten years before their divorce.
Williams began writing songs and playing guitar when she was seventeen years old, using one of her father’s guitars as a starting point. She received her early schooling at St. Paul Christian Academy in Nashville, where she graduated with honors. Later, she completed her studies at Brentwood Academy and received her diploma.
